- Aksia has hired Martin Deissler from Brevan Howard, where he was a business development lead. Dessier was responsible for PM sourcing as well as recruiting across all systematic strategies. His new role at Aksia covers systematic equity, market-neutral and statistical arbitrage.
- Dymon Asia has re-hired Punit Kaji, a Senior Portfolio Manager from BlueCrest Capital Management.
- Engineers Gate will hire Mike Daylamani from Schonfeld where he was portfolio manager that ran a strategy across quantitative and fundamental trading. Daylamani is set to make the move once his non-compete at Schonfeld ends.
- Jain Global has recruited Jonathan Boym from ExodusPoint. Boym has joined as head of US fixed income portfolio finance. Roger TanCreti is also understood to have joined Jain Global to lead commodity compliance from Gunvor.
- Millennium Inc has added to its trading team with the appointment of Ziad Kerbage, as a Senior Portfolio Manager. Kerbage is a former equity derivatives trader at JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley. He will focus on delta-one products, with his role expected to include setting up a new trading pod.
- Two Sigma has hired David Sugarman from Polar Capital where he was head of research and managed Polar’s Global Convertible Bond Fund and the firm’s Global Absolute Return Fund, as well as led the firm’s convertible and credit research teams.
- Walleye has hired two portfolio managers. Nikhil Ferris and Nathan Kully have joined from Belvedere Trading. The two PMs will co-manage a team focused on options and futures contracts in the crude and natural gas markets.
- Walleye Capital has appointed Eric Nolette, the formerly of Citadel, as Director of Data and Insights for its equity long-short business.
